Join us in celebrating the difference with Nantucket Sports & Therapeutic Accessible Recreation (S.T.A.R.). Nantucket S.T.A.R.'s mission is to offer inclusive recreational activities that support and celebrate diverse strengths and abilities through collaborations with families and community partnerships. Since 2003 our nonprofit has provided specialized and inclusion first programs to build confidence, developmental skills and independence, as well as foster valuable connections with peers and members of our local community. We offer over 22 specialized programs in collaboration with 20 community partners including ice skating, cooking, sensory art, tennis, nature walks, swimming, respite movie and pizza nights, early childhood playgroups, gymnastics, and more!
We need your help to continue these life changing programs. Every dollar donated will go directly towards supporting program fees, covering our organization's operation costs, and maintaining highly qualified specialized staff. The cornerstone of this year’s fundraising will focus on bringing back S.T.A.R. Summer Camp! Our 2025 fundraiser, thanks to supporters like YOU, helped us reach our goal of building our transportation van to acquire a handicap accessible van. Look for us on the road!
Shoot for the Stars will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Great Harbor Yacht Club. Our event offerings include the premiere viewing of our impact film, hors devours and refreshments, a live and silent auction and the invaluable opportunity to meet and hear from some of our Stars.
