Let's go Swimming!

Get your bathing suit and towel and let's have fun in the pool!  Meet us at the Nantucket Community Pool located at the Nantucket High School. Instruction and support will focus on basic swimming skills for beginners, and for more proficient swimmers. Skills that will be reinforced include comfort in the pool, treading water, water play, dunking, breathing, and strokes. Ages: 3 and up.  The cost of this program is $65, financial aide is available upon inquiry 

Aquatics is offered through the generous support of the Nantucket Community Fund

 Play is the work of childhood!   Saturday's with S.T.A.R.  provides a developmentally rich environment for children through music, games, sensory exploration, art and play,  alongside peers, siblings and caregivers. Saturday’s with S.T.A.R. is a meeting place for parents and caregivers as well, allowing a bit of respite time and opportunities to ask questions about their child’s development, in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.  

Saturday's with S.T.A.R. is offered in collaboration with the Nantucket Community School and generously funded through the ReMain Nantucket Fund. 

Playgroup is offered to children birth through age five and their parents/caregivers.

Meet us on the courts for some active fun!

Join S.T.A.R. staff and volunteers at the Jetties Beach Courts to learn all about tennis.  Instructor Lauren Soverino will lead participants in a basic overview of the game and children will learn all about tennis through a variety of games and activities.

Come dressed for active fun.  Racquets are provided.

This program is offered for participants ages 9 and up.
